In part 1 I gave you a brief insight into some of the common issues actors have when they are preparing for their headshot session. My job as a headshots photographer in Hackney is to try and understand those issues and help the actor to overcome them and see them for what they are, ‘little green demon’s’ on their shoulder that with an understanding and ear can be ‘coached or persuaded off their shoulder’

This can involve many skills, listening, coaching, encouraging, inspiring and even directing. These are all techniques I use in my sessions to a varying degree depending on the confidence and state of mind of my client. whatever happens it is my duty to get great headshots for each and every one of the actors who visit me. They know they need a great headshot that’ll get them noticed and they know I’ll get them one.
